Gorgeous little Connor was in the studio for his newborn session yesterday. Don't let these sleepy photos fool you, he was intent on staying wide awake for a big part of the morning! Which only means one thing, more cuddles for me! He was such a sweetheart, he started out fast asleep, and then after a little awake time and some wrapping, he dozed off again and let me sneak in a few more poses. He also gave me one of the best "blue steel' looks that I have seen in a loooong time! So cute! Congratulations to Yiota and George on the arrival of your beautiful boy!
P.S. I know as a parent, it can be stressful coming into a newborn session and feeling the pressure that your baby needs to be fast asleep to get all of those squishy, posed shots. My second baby slept for all of ten minutes during his newborn session with another photographer, so I know exactly what it feels like! The two things I ask of my clients (and Yiota and George, you rocked this), is that you come into the session with no expectations on your baby, and that you trust me. I am patient, I am experienced at following babies cues, I will only put your baby into a pose that they are comfortable and safe in, and we will get a full gallery of beautiful images regardless of how sleepy they are! And I will never ever complain about a baby needing extra cuddles during their session. Ever! Snuggle, pose, edit, repeat. That's my life. And I love it!
